Mint Real Estate's agent Sarah Bourke, sold us a property in North Fremantle which she stated at the viewing was NOT heritage listed. After the sale was complete it transpired that the property was heritage listed. The heritage listing has prevented our development plans which were key to us purchasing the property. We now intend to sell the property after less than 12 months of living there because we cannot develop it as intended to accommodate our family. This will result in (at least) a loss of purchase costs on a property worth over $1.0M.The Department of Consumer Protection have issued Mint Real Estate educational advise, reminding them of their obligations under the Code of Conduct per the attached letter. In correspondence to me, Mint have denied any responsibility for the error.I would encourage anyone purchasing a property to verify the heritage status independently of Mint Real Estate or any agent - particularly in a heritage area such as North Fremantle.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I have never had to deal with such unprofessional, incompetent people who are supposed to be running a business. They refuse to acknowledge complaints or feedback. Thankfully our property was taken over by a different agent instead, even so this property manager did not hand over relevant things nor action them such as the circumstances of our request for extension of lease and my name change. They sent emails asking for an immediate response but then would not respond to us in a timely fashion. When I called to speak to someone about a breach they were putting on my account I spoke to the manager John who was rude and would not listen to my concerns. They drove by my house and tried to issue me with a breach based on that despite us not agreeing to an inspection nor them providing notice for one. This is a breach to the lease private enjoyment of property. They said we were neglecting the gardens however the council manage the verges regularly and we also manage our gardens regularly too. We have been living in this house and looking after it for more than 3 years and then the property manager changed to this company for only about a year. In that year we had a terrible experience with them. I know there is a rental crisis but my advice to tenants is to avoid at all costs. They seem to pride themselves on treating tenants poorly to keep landlords happy. If you are a landlord who likes this then shame on you, check in with your tenants who are being harassed. When we changed property agents we got an email from the new property agent and not realty force, my husband rang realty force to check so that we weren't getting scammed by the new agent asking us to pay them rent and realty force just said oh we would have told you" and insisted they had told us then just said oh well! Their emails consistently contain typos etc. Poor professionalism and communication in all areas. I know they will reply in a patronising way as that is their communication style but I just hope this review protects some tenants."

Vincent was first class from day 1. Absolutely nothing was too much trouble. It had been 23 years since we purchased our last property, so we had lots of questions and processes have changed a fair bit. Vincent was able to answer every question very quickly if not instantly.
